On the basis of the wind tunnel experimental study and six blades 600W CWET, this paper developed the design parameter of six blades diameter is 0.86m CWET by aerodynamics theory. Changing the chord length then did the output power experiment by in-truck test.The aim was to find the the law that changing chord length affected output power characteristic.The result shows that the start wind speed of 1.25 times chord length blade, design chord length blade and 0.75 times chord length blade is 1.85m/s, 2.56m/s and 2.9m/s. at the following wind speed 9.96m/s,11m/s and 11.72m/s respectively and all three blades'output power reached to 100W .When wind speed is 9m/s, three sorts of blades'Cp all attain the maximum of 0.35, 0.31and 0.29 respectively.The result tell us that adding chord length can help improve the unit output power characteristic.Under the condition of unchanged diameter,designed a set of three propeller blades.On the basis of the three propeller blades designed amend blades, equality chord blades and straight blades by changing chord length and pitch angle. Then did the output power experiment for four sorts of blades at three sorts of hubs. The result of experiment shows that the amend blade and design blade'power output character are very similar in same pitch angle. This explains that the amend principle is feasible. This paper also took amend blade for example, did the blades'intensity checking. The result is that, under the rated wind speed, the blade axis's maximum positive stress equal to 2.44×10~7Pa when blade lay in uprightness location and maximum positive stress equal to 2.087×10~5Pa. when blade in horizontal location.The positive stress was permitted under the rated wind speed.The result can offer important reference for CWET blades'development and establishment on large-scale turbine industrialization.
