With the development of economy and the exploiting need of oil and natural gas in desert,some road especially some high grade road must be renovated in desert.The studies in the compaction property and dynamic property of eolian sand-the unique material of roadbed is a new subject.Based on the yujing-highway project in Shanxi province though the Maowusu desert,associating the experiments indoor and onsites works,this thesis studied deeply in the compaction mechanism and dynamic property of eolian sand and gain some new views and train of thoughts.In the experiment of compaction,we used three methods-pound,vibration in the under and vibration on the sufferce,and emphasis on the vibration compaction experiment in the under,together with considering moisture content,vibration frequency,swing,weight on the surface,times of filling eolian sand,merit of compation,time of vibration,the makeup of eolian sand.Though the experiments,we educe some views:In the compaction experiment of eolian sand,we will gain the most dry density in the conditon that the moisture content is zero or the finest;For the material without stickiness such as eolian sand,vibration is better than pound in compaction;Using the acceleration of vibration equpment to measure the dry density of eolian sand;Using different ways to deal with dry sand and wet sand;Gaining the way of determining the biggest dry density and experment equpment;Based on the analysis of start construction machinery,gaining a suitable way of compaction of the eolian sand roadbed and machinery combination.For study the eolian sand roadbed's carrying capacity,we finish two matters-one is the dynamics character experiment of eolian sand indoors,another is mensuration onsites.The experiments indoors include CBR,for and boundmodulus,shear,compactionexperiment.Based on the especial character of eolian sand,we redesigh the way and equpment of experiment.In CBR and for and bound modulus experinments,we gain result of different compaction degree of each moisture content.Using the degree of compaction and moisture content to measure the eolian sand's intensity(count of CBR and fro and bound modulus),gaining the theory reliance for eolian sands intensity in natural condition;accomplisining the shear and compaction experment of eolian sand by instruments made by ourselves,gaining the angle of viscosity and capability parameter of compaction and then calculating the deformation of eolian sand roadbed.The eolian sand using in the experiment is taken from Xinjiang,Neimeng and Shanxi province.Though these works,we can gain the compaction mechanism and the character of rode using carrying capacity of the eolian sand.In this thesis,we also study the character of the eolian sand using in the substrate and the way to mensuration the degree of compaction.Through the onsites work examination,this thesis has good effect in the indicator of onsites work.
