Given reasonable usage and exploitation, the problem of downtown building density, along with deteriorating environment and thin scenery could be settled in the metropolis. And these salient effects also represent huge potential space to the renewal of interior urban city. Meanwhile, at the side of environmental design, it consummates the function of square and lawn and molds nicer spatial city environment.With the utilizing of underground void, using subway stations as hinge and walk system connecting in series, people link the undergrounds which are obstructed by transportation together. This forms various kinds of underground transportation and also contains researching underground in thesis.Underground, compounded with"under"and"ground", which means the ground beneath. Environment of surface architecture depends on natural effects, such as savage light, ventilation, etc. Underground building is on the opposite. It mainly replies on artificial control. Therefore, the conjuncture of ground and underground become the main character of spatial conversion. Underground, a transiting room between up and down, in terms of humanity and convenience idea, not only the form, color, style and function, but the physiological factor, ecologic character and humiliation is worth paying attention to focus and research.This thesis chooses underground in metropolis as an object to study, using bibliography reading, locale survey and chart painting methods. To do research and survey on underground environment, we try to find out the merit and demerit of route way environment and how to create a better humanity and sustainable development underground space. Simultaneity, author attempts to reflect the connotation of space in metropolis from the profile of underground environment. This could be divided into five processes.
