Urbanization is the inevitable outcome of development of the social and economy, which necessarily brought about the city problem and environment problem, and intensified the contradiction among population, resources and environment. In recent years, with the rapid development of the city, the municipal area and population of city increase by degrees, industry and economy growing rapidly, and the sources of energy were continual consumed. Large amount of heat was discharged. Its results in the thermal environment of metropolis become worse and worse. On the initiative of sustainable development, the development model of the city is transforming from people oriented paid attention to the reconstruction to the nature to the environment oriented attached importance to the balance of human and environment, which is an important expression of moden ecological civilization.City climate refers to a type of local climate, which has closer relations with the development of city and human activities. The local climate resolved the characteristics of the city form, and the good city space and living environment design are conducive to improve the local climate, at the same time, a fine locial climate is good at improving the comfortable of the city and saving energy. This paper introduces how to apply the CFD stimulation of the digital model of metropolis to study thermal environment. Based on creating digital model and setting up reasonable boundary condition and parameters, this paper studied the thermal environment of Wuhan in the region of summer-hot and winter-cold. This paper went a step further to study a central area of Wuhan――Hanzheng street. Furthermore, based on the thinking about the problems of the city, some references connected with old town rebuilding and the urban design are given, and were tested and verified.Based on the analysis, effective simulation results with the mutual theoretic are given. On one hand, the conclusion is helpful to improve comfortable degree of metropolis and save energy. On the other hand, according to different region with different local climate in one city, some references to the department of urban planning are given by establishing design standards and urban design rules.This research is supported by National Natural Science Foundation in China"Study On the Urban Design based on the saving energy and acclimatization in the region of summer-hot and winter-cold"(Number: 50578067).
