Under the Information's war, electromagnetic environment has been the most important factors for commanding. In order to supply war-field analysis and decision-making with evidence, it's necessary to develop the visualization system of electromagnetic datas in war-field. Describing the electromagnetic environment in war-field intuitionisticly will help the commander to judge the state of electromagnetic field and make scientific decision.This system consists of user interface,preprocess module,computation module,postprocess module. The user interface,preprocess and postprocess module are developed with Microsoft Visual C++, preprocess and postprocess module with the help of OpenGL function library. The computation module is developed with Visual Fortran. User interface executes the holistic control and integration. Preprocess module takes charge of the generation of the war-field terrain, and supplies input datas to computation module. Computation module computes the intensity of electromagnetic field around space. Postprocess module displays the isosurface of electromagnetic field in terrain.This paper discusses the generation of terrain and visualization in scientific computing in the system, introduces the generation of random terrain and LOD technology. Based on Marching Cube algorithm, the paper supplies another way to display the isosurface.
