The quality of classrooms' indoor environment has a direct effect on students' work efficiency and the health of the physiology and psychology. In order to study the thermal environment of university's classroom in Harbin, the author took classrooms and a library in one university as an example, and analyzed their indoor thermal environment in winter by objective spot test and subjective questionnaire.After the statistic analyzing of the subjects' clothing insulation, the result shows that the slope of the northerner's clothing insulation reducing with the temperature is higher than the southerner's value, and when the indoor air temperature is higher than 23.7℃, southerner dresses less than northerner. A K-S test was applied to find the significant aspects that affect subjects' thermal sensation votes. The results show that gender, origin place of the subjects and air temperature have significant influence. The 80% acceptable temperature zone obtained in this study is 19.6℃~24.4℃.The thermal comfortable temperature zone that this thesis recommended is 19.6℃~22.5℃.Comparing the neutrality temperature with the preference temperature, the results show that the preference temperature is higher than the neutrality temperature. Moreover, northerner's neutrality temperature and preference temperature is higher than southerner's value, respectively.This thesis discovered the existent problem of indoor thermal environment of university's buildings on the basis of these methods in Harbin region. Finally, the corresponding improvement measures are given. university's buildings on the basis of these methods in Harbin region. In winter the indoor temperature is higher which did not fit to work. Without the ventilation facilities the indoor air quality of classrooms is even worse. The relative humidity of classrooms is lower in winter.The comfortable cold of thermal environment is more favorable to work efficiency. In view of the bad indoor air quality in heating room, we suggest to introduce positive air exchange facilities with function of recycling after heat. These methods are expected to be used in new built and reconstructive buildings in university in the future.
