With the rapid and continuous growth of Chinese economy, turbine-compressor units, heart equipment of petrochemical industry, energy electricity power, and metallurgy, are being oriented towards high-reliability, high-efficiency and high-automation control. It is of great importance to employ advanced modern technologies to evaluate performance of the units, which can be used to direct the operation, improve the economical performance and shorten the maintenance cycle. It makes the study of this paper of significant theoretic value to further the thought of thermal dynamic parameter evaluation.102-J/JT steam turbine-compressor units of some cooperation and its thermal system had been studied in this paper. With years of experience on condition monitoring and fault diagnosis and based on recently emerged the OPC data communication technique and the theory of thermodynamic parameter diagnosis, the on-line monitoring and evaluation of complex medium compressor units had been studied and developed. Aimed at the Characteristics of the 102-J/JT sets and request of the petrochemical enterprises, a dynamic data acquisition and data communications (OPC) module was developed, which actually realizes the network function of analysis software of thermodynamic performance. For the characteristic of the raw material gas for the compressor, Lee-Kesler equation was used to calculate the property parameter of natural gas medium. The coefficient matrix simulation method was applied to simulate the compressor' s characteristic curve field, which specially solved the supplement problem of the characteristic curve field under the design condition. The similarity conversion principle was used to compute expectant values of important parameters (such as the shaft power, exhaust pressure, and anti-surge margin). And by comparing with real values obtained from on-line evaluation, scientific evaluation of the operation performance was made.The evaluation system is not only the first monitoring and evaluation software which regard the steam turbine and the compressor as a whole, but also the first one which totally realize the network function. The study has provided scientific foundation for improving the automation management of large turbine machine, and for the operation management and economical manipulation of 102-J/JT steam turbine-compressor units. The system has been put into operation, and it is of good reputation among clients for its friendly graphical interfaces, abundant information, and powerful network function.
