This paper aims to solve the problems in the Recirculation Fan System Control, based on the project of the development of a new Recirculation Fan System controller for Shanghai Baosteel.As is known, Recirculation Fan System is applied widely especially in heavy industries, such as Steel Industry, Coal Industry and Chemical Industry. The Recirculation Fan System works as a key equipment and consumes huge amount of energy. Then, through the speed control of the Recirculation Fan System, we can meet our manufactory requirements and conserve the energy as well. But nowadays, many of the Recirculation Fan System Controller still lacks control accuracy, which somehow jeopardizes manufactory.There are some special difficulties in this control process, as the Recirculation Fan System is a Long-time Delay System. And there is very little chance to carry out adequate online tests due to the very heavy work for the Recirculation Fan System. Through the research work in this paper, we invent a new kind of Recirculation Fan System, which adopts an online control strategy based on the historical data. Besides, we have Hardware in the Loop Simulation (HILS) in our research work in order to improve the quality and reliability of our new controller and to reduce the risk of the online test, through which we also save our debugging time. Finally, our new kind of controller works successfully for its first online test and meets the expected requirements, and thus we solve the problem for this Long-time Delay System.
