Study On Ecological Planning Of Artificial Lakes

Artificial lake is one of most glamorous landscape place. It is also a good environment for people to get-close-to nature and releases themselves.So there are so many man-made-lakes were built in the city or near the river. However, the ecological functions always were overlooked in the course of design and implementation of the project process and the man-made-lakes didn't have enough attention in the daily management. When being lack of make-up water source, self-purification capability of lakes is quite weak, and after polluted, the water quality in these lakes will be deteriorated and the beauty of the lakes will be lost.This paper took Xianyang Lake for an example, and the waterproof design, the ecological design of water quality and use of non-conventional water resources for the complement water for lakes, the landscape creation techniques of waterfront plants and the ecological problems to be considered and the ecological embankment were discussed in the paper. At last, the paper gave some opinions and suggestions for the design of the Xianyang Lake.In the design of waterproof in the artificial lakes,ecological waterproof can instead of the hardening concrete. The rational distribution of plants, animals and micro-organisms can form a balanced ecosystem to purify water. It's better than physical or chemical methods for water purification. In the process of the complement water for lakes, we can more consider using rain and reclaimed water but not the groundwater. Ensuring flood control, ecological embankment design can be consider replacing the rigid concrete design. Because the revetment ecological design can combine revetment aquatic plant, plant configuration so that the shore waters and land to form a complete ecological system, material, energy, and better information exchange, and form a balance of the ecosystem. Waterfront plant design must consider both the aesthetic, but also to consider the overall economic environment, the ecological design and then there will be a ecological and beautiful artificial lake.
