Research On The On-line Test System Of Marine Engineering Specialty Base On B/S

With the development of the sea transportation and shipbuilding industry and the rapid popularization of computer technology, traditional examination mode can't satisfy the need of modern marine engineering examination. Therefore, the system of marine engineering on-line examination is playing a more and more important role. And the design of network examination system software also updates and advances constantly along with the improvement of software technology, not only in security, extendibility and general purpose but also in practicability and interaction.This subject embarks from analysing the status and characteristics of current software for marine engineering network examination systems in China, refering to the existing experiences on test database management and test system development, combining the current facts of examination models in China. As a solution to the existing problems in these fields, a marine engineering on-line examination system based on browser/server is designed in the thesis.The paper mainly discusses the design idea, working principle, system structure, primary technique means and the realization method of marine engineering network examination system. This on-line examination system is exploited by the members based on WEB technique, by choosing C# programming language as its developing tool, adopting three layers frame mode of B/S, making use of ASP.NET dynamic web page technique and SQL Server 2000 for background database. The system realizes its security and stability greatly by combining ASP with SQL Server 2000 technique.The system designs the reasonable structure according to traditional process of exam. It includes status checking, on-line exam, scores querying, student score statistic analyzing, test paper generating, paper judging, teacher statistic analyzing and information declaring module. Besides, this examination system involves login distinguishing, problem drawing according to problem type randomly, grading and timing, many querying and statistic methods and so on. Basically, the system can satisfy the general demand of marine engineering exam and initial design ideas.This system is valuable at the aspect of the extendibility and the versatility. It can be changed to the modified system of any enterprise and section so long as the database information is slightly amended, so it is worthy of generalization. At the same time, this system can be added other individual functions for various customers.
