Shape Memory Alloys (SMA) is functional materials with special characteristics such as shape memory effect, pseudo elasticity, and variable stiffness. Because of these characteristics, SMA has become one of the most important materials for sensors and actuators and played a more and more important role in structural control.In this thesis, the special characteristics are introduced detailed at first. Based on understanding fully these characteristics, put forward its simplified constitutive model by the theory Graesser proposed, then use ANSYS to simulate passive control of frame structure. So we can say that it supplies a new method for vibration control design of frame structure.
