Study On Selection Of Model And Strategy For Urban Spatial Structure Development

Along with the establishment of global competition &. cooperation framework andthe deeply influence by information network, the development and evolution urbanspatial structure has become a basilic approach to achieve a modern megapolisimproving its abilities to control resources and its competitive power in a sense Asthe background of new era, globalization and information technology also givesChinese megapolises new opportunities and challenges. How to expand or evenremode urban spatial structure in the process of economic restructuring and socialdevelopment and how to choose a scientific and rational development pattern for itsspatial structure have more important strategic significances for Shenyang, a heavyindustrial megapolis in the northeast developed under an "irrational"path whichdirected by administrative plan.In this context, this study analysis theories and practices of modern megapolisespatial structure development patterns in-depth to search out a pattern which cansupport Shenyang city face the domestic and international pressures and opportunitiesin an actual view.
