In variable speed constant frequency double-fed wind power generation system, the generator can output the maximum power and enhance the system efficiency when it runs at optimal rotor speed. So the study of how to control wind power generator to run at optimal rotor speed, namely maximal wind power tracking ,turn into available approach of enhancing variable speed constant frequency wind power generator operation efficiency. In this paper, firstly the variable speed constant frequency wind power generation theory and the system structure are analyzed. Then the basic character and power of wind turbine adjustor are studied. The 3-phase stationary reference frame and the d-q reference frame mathematics model of double-fed generator having been researched, the relationship of active power and reactive power from double-fed generator basic mathematics model is deduced.Four operation states of the double-fed wind power generation system and procedure of maximal wind power tracking are studied. After that two method of maximal wind power tracking are analyzed and compared.The two methods are wind turbine speed control,tracking optimal power-rotor speed curve.In the platform MATLAB/SIMULINK, emulation and comparison study are conducted according to the theories above. Wind turbine model, DFIG model, maximal wind power tracking algorithm model and the whole system model are constructed in MATLAB/SIMULINK. Emulation study basis on maximal wind power tracking is done on the system model. The emulation result proves that the optimal power-rotor speed curve tacking algorithm can quickly track maximal wind power and utilize wind power most efficiency.In the end, the structure of 160kw experiment platform is studied. The election of the controller system hardware is finished. After that, the software construction of operation state process control in double-fed wind power generation system is studied. The software construction, program and maximal wind power tracking algorithm and its program are proposed.
