At present, the method of bar chart is also adopted by most of the hydro-electric project for controlling the construction period in our country, but double-symbol network planning have its advantage in connecting with related works into a organic group during the whole construction period comparing with bar chart, so it can easily, clearly, completely reflect the relations of each kinds of works during the whole construction periods. It can easily calculate all types of time on the network and find the true key works that affect entire construction schedule so that the major contradiction is caught concentrate by the superintendent during construction period. Machine time of each works of double-symbol network planning can get the better path to operate and arrange manpower and construction equipment in order to reduce project cost. During execution period, if the work is carried out before or after its scheduled time, in order to forecast the extent of affection for other works or whole construction period, in that case, we can take the properly action at earlier and remove an unfavorable factors by using the advantage conditions.According to construction experiences and kinds of construction codes of similar constructed hydroelectric station the home and abroad. The NuTou Mountain hydroelectric station completely set up the general construction layout, including layout the main works construction, construction road of jobsite, subsidiary facilities, preliminary facilities, batching plant system and refrigeration system etc. It also calculated quantities of each construction items.Based on general construction layout and quantities of construction items, and according to the construction time of project and the basic principle of network schedule technical calculated and established the Noutou mountain hydroelectric station's construction network schedule, at final found three critical construction lines and definite critical construction procedure. The major contradiction should be emphasized during the construction period, if discrepancy is exposed at the critical construction procedure, the effective organization and technical action should be taken in order to make whole construction schedule goes correctly. Because the Noutou mountain hydroelectric station got its major contradiction, prior 3 months complete whole project construction even its suffered typhoon three times separately on May, July, and Aug. 2005, meanwhile due to above mentioned reason, avoided blind carrying out the construction and project resources waste.After control for construction period of Nutou mountain hydroelectric station, it indicate that Double-symbol network planning is feasible and effective for the hydroelectric project.
