As the space is tend to be surrounded by deteriorated culture of commodity, entertainment etc. architecture is now tensely looking for the definition and self-discipline for itself. This essay tries to arise the research about space nature from the thinking and dialectical about modern space idea and current status of construction, and then explore the motive power of space generation from the research visual angle of multi-dimensional space, and prospect to expand people's attention to space dimension outside three dimensional physique, providing opening ideological basis and creation visual angle for wider space exploration and architectural practice.On the basis of studying reduction method of "Exclude any prejudice and feel according to object's true color" from Phenomenology of Architecture, this essay delves into the characters and applications of multi-dimensions from several levels, which is carried out combined with actual behavior observation and methods of space research and graphic analysis, from putting forward multi-dimension assumption, looking for space multi-dimension and proving its real existence, analyzing dimension from lengthwise and vertical direction as well as analyzing its vector, to researching multi-dimension space design from micro integrity. Research results are as follows: firstly space is the combination of subjectivity and objectivity, take the perception and experience of subject as research basis; secondly multi-dimension in space exists factually, however, it always ignored for its indistinctive effect, multi-dimension is the part that people has the most close relation with space, and important way of space humanization design; thirdly multi-dimension is effective space design angle, its application can not only reshape three-dimensional definite space status, but also enrich and flourish space thread, meanwhile sublimate space affection.Multi-dimension is a part of space, which makes up organic space integrity together with three-dimensional physique, and it should be well considered at the beginning of space generation. Multi-dimension application not only conforms to the essence property that space is organic complex system, but also endows space with smart breath and humanization.
