Voltage sag is the most harmful power quality problem in power system, and we must take positive and effective measures to tackle it. This paper regards the recovery of voltage sag in distributed electrical network as one systematic and integrated project. First of all, some basic information about voltage sag was acquired through actual research; against the strong randomness of voltage sag and the difficulty of its recovery, the prediction and assess of voltage sag were conducted; then, the feasible projects to voltage sag recovery were researched, with comparing the effectiveness and economy, the measures of series connecting DVR between distribution system and power users was adopted to tackle voltage sag; finally, the analysis and research of DVR was focused on, including the detection algorithm of voltage sag, calculation method of compensating voltage, the control method and the design of main circuit structure of dynamic voltage tracking, and the relevant simulation analysis was worked.
