This study aims at theoretical research and engineering development for coal-saving potential diagnosis system of coal-fired unit thermal system based on thermoeconomics. The main fruits includes:(1) on the basis of IAPWS-IF97, educed the computational model about exergy of water and steam, and compiled the calculational software of water and steam including the exergy;(2) obtained the general exergy loss topological template and the general exergy loss distribution equation of regenerative system for the coal-fired power unit;(3) educed the general model for coal-saving potential diagnosis system of coal-fired unit thermal system ; (4) completed the design and development of web page for the coal-saving potential diagnosis system of coal-fired unit thermal system based on B/S structure; (5) completed the development of calculational software for the coal-saving potential diagnosis system of coal-fired unit thermal system;(6) implement the development of the coal-saving potential diagnosis system of coal-fired unit thermal system.
