The substation tele-video system still has shortcomings and defaults presently, which affects the construction of unattended substation. The uncomprehensivenesss of power environment data, the low-level transmission of power system and the development trend of embedded DVR makes it increasingly urgent to integrate the power environment data. So the power environment data system whose principal part is multifunctional equipment control mainframe and power environment server is developed by the object-oriented programming, TCP / IP protocol, IEC104 protocol, the socket and database technique. They can achieve the environment data integration by accessing to to an existing substation tele-video system.Multifunctional equipment control mainframe responsibles foe the access of data acquisition and control module. Such as temperature and humidity collector, fire security module, the alarm collected, air-conditioning lighting controllers. It collects the environment data of substation, displays it on the interface of the program and sends it to the power environment server. Power environment server sends the environment data of substation to monitor server and transmits the command instruction to the multifunctional equipment control mainframe. IEC104 is used in the communication between multifunctional equipment control mainframe and power environment server.The driving force of the integration and realization of power environment data is the unattended substation and the professionalization of the substation tele-video system. It mskes supervise of substation environment more comprehensively. The special power environment server improves the stability of the video transmision, which makes the system more steadily. IEC104 protocol can satisfy the access between different multifunctional equipment control mainframes and power environment server, which has good adaptability and expansibility, explores a new road for multipolar structure of substation tele-video system.
