The experimental instrument acts a key role in the engine experiment, which is a crucial step in the engine research and production. With the development of virtual instruments, experimental instruments have been trending to be flexible. Customers can build an suitable testing system according to their practical conditions. The testing system can be amended, extended and upgraded without changing hardware or only changing a little. Compared with the traditional engine test instruments, the engine experimental data acquisition and analysis system based on virtual instrument is more flexible, lower wasting and higher efficient.The thesis of this research project is detecting the vibration, the noise and the ignition action of gasoline engine on an industrial control computer. The system has the function of that the results of detection can be saved in a database. It can analyze and process the results of detection preliminary. At the same time, the system also can detect the alternator and direct current dynamo, which both are assorted with the engine. The functions of vibration detecting and noise detecting can be extended. The parameter of the engine involve the vibration, the noise, voltage of secondary coil of ignition system, voltage of primary coil of ignition system, current of primary coil of ignition system, voltage of alternator, current of alternator, voltage of direct current dynamo and current direct current dynamoThis thesis introduces the general planning and the rudimental principle of work at first. On this basis, the thesis introduces the different sensors which are used to detect the different signals. In order to realize the integrated testing of dynamic parameters and real-time inspection, a new-fashion real-time testing system design for the integrated parameters of engineer is proposed based on the technology of virtual instrument. It especially introduces the design of the structure and framework of the system hardware and software. It introduces the philosophy of measurement of each signal minutely, and it accounts the software's method of operation, and it discusses about the storage and off-line analysis of the real-time data. Finally, a series of experiments were carried out with the engine experimental data acquisition and analysis system, it store and playback the date successfully.
