Power Quality Monitoring of Power system is a new science realm, which has developed rapidly in recent years and has attracted more and more attention of engineers of related department of power system, such as operation,management,research. Along with the science development, more and more new technology will be applied to the Power Quality Monitoring.The paper firstly introduces the situation of the power quality measurement and existed problems home and abroad, discusses the power quality indexes. And by lucubrating the development and applications of the embedded system, the paper introduces the skill into the power quality measurement field. Finally, the paper realizes the design of the Embedded ARM_Linux Power Quality Monitor management module based on the platform of a new DSP+ARM Power Quality Monitor system.The thesis designs the ARM9 processor (S3C2410) platform based on the embedded Linux system. Of all, the paper stresses the study of the management ability of ARM9 (S3C2410). Among them, the paper firstly accomplishes the data transfer function of the calculation module and the management module making use of CAN bus; secondly analyses and realizes transplanting and compiling Linux OS core; completes the transplanting and compiling the embedded interface system MiniGUI under Linux OS, further more, realize favorable interface by compiling program; realizes the function of storage by getting the knowledge of database in embedded system; studies the problem of Ethernet network communications between power quality monitors and host computer applying the network communication interface in ARM module.Because of the powerful administration ability and abundant peripherals, the design selects ARM as the main CPU of the management module; application of the Linux operation system improves the stability and the character of the clipping; CAN bus of the character of low-power and anti- interference adopted in the interior communication improves the communicating rate and reliability; adoption of the SD card enhances the reserves of the Power Quality Monitor; Making use of the 100M Ethernet realized the high speed network transmission between local monitor device and host computer. The research and development of the software and the hardware system based on the embedded offers a powerful theoretic and practical platform for the further research.
