Analysis On Transfer System Of Urban Rail Transit Lines And Its Efficiency Evaluation

Transfer stations are the key points in rail network, which inflenuce the operation, economic efficiency and transport efficiency of whole rail network. With the programming and constructing of rail network, rail lines are much more complex, and transfer stations are becoming more, also as transfer problems. Some of large cities in China have already built the urban rail transit line net, and are aheading to the direction of rail network. Researching on transfer problems is necessary, and solving the transfer problems between subway lines is urgent while building the urban rail transit network.There is not any valuble research about transfer between rail lines. So this article is a creative paper on researching about it.The article analyzed transfer modes and transfer manners. Transfer modes are determined by structure of the rail transit network and the line-cross types from the overall programming and design in a city. The transfer manners in the detail transfer station are researched, and chooseing factors of transfer manners are given.Then the main service object - transfer passengers are analyzed. The characteristics are time-dynamic character, space-dynamic character, and sensitivity. The passenger characters can direct operators to set transfer designs and organization methods based on passengers.The rail transit transfer system is mentioned for the forst time from the systems engineering ideology. Its function, structure, and the sub-systems are analyzed, and the capacity calculation equations about both sub-systems and integrate system are built.The whole rail network's service efficiency is influnced by transfer system efficiency. So it is necessary to evaluate transfer efficiency correctly. The evaluation system based on Data Envelopment Analysis method is built in the article, which is used to evaluate the transfer efficiency. And then an example is used to evaluate the eight rail transit transfer stations in Beijing. The evaluate results are researched behind.At the end, combining the evaluation results, the characters, harmony principles and aims of transfer system is listed. The author advanced some improving measures from both programming and management aspects.
