Being with a vast territory, our country supplies conditions widely differently in climate, hydrology, geology and materials of peripheral area. The typical structure of asphalt pavements code recommend is difficult to cover the climate and soil property of the whole country. So the research of asphalt pavements typical structure has been carried out in many place of our country. The research is all to regard current code as the theoretical foundation ,considering the road load, traffic grade, national environment, geologic condition, material source and use condition, then the asphalt pavements typical structure being suitable for each area is proposed。The research of the asphalt pavements typical structure has become a trend to determine the pavement structures of the Province-city roads.A investigation on natural environment, the hydro-geological condition, and the traffic and so on of Zhangjiajie city to research of typical pavement structure of asphalt according with the Zhangjiajie urban road . And this article carried on a investigation on pavement structure and behavior in service of asphalt pavement which is right now operational partial of Zhangjiajie urban roads, rated the road surface breakage condition and the behavior in service, and analyzed the existing problems of the investigated road section and why they existed. The intensity of Zhangjiajie urban roadbed has been divided into four ranks according to soil modulus.And embarking from the bituminous pavement and semi-rigid basic raw material, in view of Zhangjiajie own material and urban road's characteristic, the experimental investigation on the bituminous pavement, cement stabilized gravel stratum and two ash macadam road base's raw material, mixture ratio determination and final mechanical properties have been conducted。Moreover, modulus change of sub grade, thickness of surface, base and sub base and the effect of rebound module change on surface deflection, bend stress at the bottom and shearing stress at the surface of the road have been carried on the analysis。At last, according to analysis result, the reasonable parameter value scope of structure layer was determined。Finally, combining with the natural environment, the hydro-geological condition, supply situation of road material, load and traffic volume, construction and maintenance level of Zhangjiajie city, the paper has chosen the material type of bituminous surface, base and sub base, and has carried on the structure combination design to the asphalt pavement, so it recommended typical pavement structure of asphalt according with the Zhangjiajie urban road。...
