With the development of modern power system, Need to study more and more new technologies and new products, But the limitations of on-the-spot condition, security rule, lots of experiments unable to be realized, so many experiments were restricted, therefore need the power system dynamic simulation. The synchronous generator simulation excitation system is regarded as one of the important equipment of dynamic simulation of power system. It plays an important role in studing the power system running. The current power system dynamic simulation laboratory uses analogous equipment or controlled by SCM, this system has a simple feature, real-time poor, low accuracy and can not meet the requirements of model. This paper introduces one simulation excitation experiment of the Generator, based on Digital Signal Processor (DSP). With the multiple functions of monitoring, analysis, controlling and protection, which has feature-rich control methods, the precision and hardware are very reliability, can meet the requirements of the original model in power system. The main content includes the following respects:1.This article unifies the massive literature materials, introduced the development of the simulation excitation experiment of synchronous generator. Based on the past achievements, by the mathematical model simulated in MATLAB/Simulink, the simulation results are used to analyze the performances of excitation regulator.2. Introduce the circuit and working principle of the simulation excitation and the Designing requirements and the main functional of software.3. On the motherboard to debug the Boot keys judgement, LCD display program, measuring AC frequency program, and so on, with the Simulation Platform of CCS2000, Introduce the combination of each signal program and the problems of preventing to repeat the variables definition.4. Have summarized question and experience met in the course of project implementation, point out existing problem and deficiency, has proposed the task at the next stage and prediction scheme.
