300MW TSVI (turbine supervisory virtual instrument) is composed of NI USB-6009 DAQ device and LabVIEW which is the virtual instrument development workbench.The acquisition, presentation, analysis, storage,output and alarm of steam turbine vibration data are realized. The functions of traditional turbine vibration supervisory instrumentation are replaced and expanded.Signal analysis system for steam turbine vibration is composed. It includes power cepstrum analysis and STFT analysis other than autocorrelation, bar chart, polar coordinates, waterfall, bode diagrams, axis orbit.The abstraction of steam-turbine-vibration signal and comparative all-sided analysis is realized in the situation of complex interference.System for steam turbine vibration monitoring involves the problem that vibration data is stored and managed inevitably. Database system for steam turbine vibration monitoring is developed with LabVIEW for workbench, Access 2003 as systemic database in this paper. C/S and B/S mixed modes is adopted by LabVIEW SQL Toolkit and Remote Panels technology, so as to make use of advantages and make up disadvantages mutually in this system, which could give full play to superiority of virtual instrument. So the level of steam turbine vibration monitoring database'function is promoted maximally.Execution time and memory usage of VIs is supervised and analyzed by LabVIEW Profile Performance and Memory Window for the sake of optimizing the rate, memory management and usage. Finally, project is created in order to set properties and build application.300MW TSVI which has been researched and developped is made up of data acquisition, signal analysis system, database system, help, quite system. User can dialogue with programme by menu, the arrangement of programme function is clear and the interface is also friendly.
