| In this treatise, the test methods and testing equipment used in the performance test of hydraulic power assisted steering gearbox at home and abroad are studied at first , then based on the service load of automotive steering gearbox, a testing plan that can simulate the actual work load of the gearbox is put forward, and then a test bench on which the test plan can be carried out is designed and set up, and finally some testing items are conducted on the tester. The testbed is mainly composed of three systems:the first one is the mechanism,which holds and adjusts the steering gearbox and the loading hydraulic cylinder,makes it possible that the required motion can be made,and ,along with the hydraulic system ,loads the steering gearbox;the second one is the hydraulic system which provides the steering gear box and the loading hydraulic cylinder with required pressured oil in order to let them work normally;the third one is the measuring system which is used to get the needed data. Not only the performance test for the common manual steering gear and the power steering gear can be carried out on this testbed,but also the steering gear can be tested on the conditon that the tester loads the steering gear with similar load to what the steering gear sufferd in actual use. This testbed is also easily adjusted and adapted as well as simply constucted. The testing results of the testbed show that all its performance figures met the expeced requirements,proving its success. The testbed can be a powerfull tool for the further study of the performances of steering gearbox. |
