Invertigation And Evaluation Of Existent Arch Bridge Disceases In Three Gorge Reservior Area

Highway bridge is an important component of the road, its quality has direct impact on the traffic safety and expeditiousness, and it is highly important to traffic construction. In recent years, it has alarmed us that bridge accident occurred continuously. Therefore, the health diagnosis and status evaluation of the bridge in service have already attracted widespread attention in bridge sector, and it also become a rising field of research in civil engineering structures and bridge engineering analysis.According to investigate many existent arch bridge diseases in three gorge reservoir area, the paper analysis the reason of its diseases and evaluates its bearing capacity. Then the paper raised strengthening measures of arch bridge based on the failure mechanism of stone masonry and finite element analysis method. This has played an important role on strengthening existent arch bridge diseases in three gorge reservoir area and guaranteeing normal operation of the bridge, meanwhile created imponderable indirect economic value.
