Product performance calculation is the key process of Turbo generator design. The calculation is done by the telnet command from the Windows client to call the calculate methods which are conserved in Solaris server in Shanghai Turbine Generator CO. LTD. The information of generator design can't be conserved and managed effectively. And project manager can't assign designers conveniently. All of these lead slow progress and lot of mistakes. Those generator designers command are can't design data effectively and can't use those advanced design methods simply and.In order to enhance the calculation's efficiency, the enterprise need a system to solve this problem, and the system's key aspect is a database which can converser those information effectively. This paper gives a detailed introduction to database design which based on the actual design demands of Shanghai Turbine Generator CO. LTD. Firstly, according to the in-depth investigation, comprehensive understanding of the existing steam turbine design and data management model, the thesis analysis the requirements in detail. Then, according to database design methods and various high-level modeling technologies, the paper designed the database which realize the store procedure and support business rules. Finally, the task is summarized, and the design of the database is prospected.These days, the General Development Environment system which based on this database had been used in the enterprise successfully. The designers can share their information through this system expediently. In a word, the system improved the efficiency of the turbine performance calculation effectively.
