Hydroelectric power plays an important part of energy industry in China. With the development of technical skills, strict requirements have been put forward to security and reliability of hydroelectric power. The managers of power plant also pay much attention to conditional overhaul. In this dissertation, a manage system has been developed by contributing to overhaul of hydropower generator set. Using the technology of database, this system can manage the raw data of online monitoring system and test system and the result. It can also share information with the MIS system of hydroelectric power.Because of the condition of appliance, the Client/Server mode is used in this system. The frame and the key technology of the mode are expounded.In this dissertation, by using the theory of relational database, the author stated the design of database for hydroelectric power set. A design by joining the keyword which can solve the storage and query of the raw data is expounded. And moreover a method of data compression which is based on adding arithmetic is presented in this paper. This method can solve the compression of raw data.At the same time, based on the practice of project, the idea of software engineering was used in the software. The author explains the function analyse of this software and the technology about them.
