Special system software—Intelligent Expert System of Bench BlastingDisaster Forecast on the aspect of blasting disaster forecast is firstlydeveloped in this subject. Aimed at present developing status of engineeringblasting theory and practical engineering need, this system extracts lots ofadvantage and collects many research results about the aspect of blastingdisaster effect all over the world. Engineering experience and theoreticalformulas which have been proved by a large number of successful blasting casesare compared, concluded, summarized, abstracted and the best models are chosento build the main module of this system—"Blasting disaster forecast" module.In order to cooperate with the main module, the blasting expert knowledge base—"Toolbox" module including physical parameters of rock, related standardsin Blasting Security Regulations etc and "Blasting disaster control" moduleare built to be inquired about at any time while the main module is running andbe chosen among them as corresponding blasting disaster control measuresindividually. Besides, aimed at the forecast of blasting ground vibrationintensity which is called "head of four great blasting disasters", two separateaided forecast modules of blasting vibration intensity—"Fitting K,αby leastsquare approximation" module and "Forecasting blasting vibration peak velocityby BPNN" module are built in way of least square approximation and BP NerveNetwork(BPNN) by programming in Matlab6.5, which improves parameter precisionof calculating models in the main module and provides more accurate forecastmodels for blasting vibration intensity influenced by many factors. At the sametime, "Calculation of the maximum-section blasting charge" module is added intoaided forest module group, which can make users quickly use this expert systemto instruct the whole blasting engineering charge without the help of calculators.In the end, feasibility and serviceability of this expert system is demonstratedby its application into actual project.This system can be not only taken as engineering software for optimizing practical blasting design and forecasting blasting disasters, but also taken asteaching or experiment software for solving actual blasting spot effect whichcan not be realized in class and the defects of high test cost by using modelsin laboratory.
