Take-up of the belt-conveyer which is an importance composing plays animportant role in the stabilization of the variable-frequency drive. Auto take-upof the belt-conveyer is widely used in modernized long-distance belt conveyer;especially in the flexible belt-conveyer, auto take-up plays a very important rolein movement of the engine tail. This paper introduces take-up's functions andthe international research trends, the rational disposal principles, demands oftension in normal working conditions; and expatiates the systematic componentsand working principles of the variable-frequency drive automatic take-up. A newwet electromagnetic brake is designed and investigated theoretical. The papercarries through simulation study on the variable-frequency drive take-up system.The simulation model of wet-type electromagnetic brake is built withthree-dimension solide modeling software and is built in the analyzing softwareADMAS of mechanical system dynamics in the form of Parasolid; in this way,the trigging time and the changing curve of tripping torque in the course oftrigging are attained. The torque changing curve in the transformation of brake from stillness to being impacted by torque is attained. The simulation curve canbetter reflect the dynamics trait of brake. After the summarization of theresearching achievements of wet-type multi-disc brake, wet-brake is improved.With the tool of MATLAB/Simulink, the simulation model of inductionmotor is built. And this paper offers the simulation results of the induction motorin the course of starting and loading in a sudden. With the tool ofMATLAB/Simulink, the frequency-conversion drive auto take-up system issimulation researched to get the tension changing curve in the course of startingand the strain changing curve of conveyor belt.This paper theoretically analyzes the variable-frequency drive automatictake-up of the belt-conveyer's feasibility. It responds quickly, has strongadaptability, can be controlled easily and is maintained simply. The paper offerstheoretical guides to the future production.
