In this age of advocating energy conservation,how to meet the rapid growth of energy demand,and how to realize the clean and efficient utilization of energy is a severe challenge for our country,that means we need to promote energy-saving technologies to improve the efficiency of energy utilization.As one of the most important energy,people concentrate more and more on coal energy.In the coal port,belt conveyors have always been the major production transportation equipment,at present,the belt conveyor used in domestic ports is mostly imported,but its price is higher,at the same time,the running costs are relatively large,so,the existing belt conveyor technical renovation and increasing frequency soft stop and comprehensive protection control function is a better choice.In the port,because of its unstable cargo handling capacity and the complexity of production scheduling,belt conveyors can't work with full load operation for a long time,that's to say,belt conveyors' production is unstable,which is often in the working state of “big horse pulling a small carriage”.So there is a low power factor for belt conveyor,and results in a lot of consumption on useless work.In terms of belt conveyor system,when the belt machine productivity(t/h)is less than the rated load,the proportion of belt and roller friction energy consumption increases,which makes the useless work more,therefore,the energy conservation and emissions reduction of belt conveyor system is of great engineering significance.To solving the above problems,according to the practical survey data of some kind of port,mainly about the statistics of belt conveyors,through the comparison of all kinds of ways of belt conveyors energy saving nowadays,it appears the excellent advantages of frequency converter energy saving's scheme,theoretical analysis of energy saving in improving power factor,frequency speed control and start control is put up after frequency converter retrofit scheme to decide its feasibility;With rated throughput of 70%,60%,50%,we calculate the motor operating power of two kinds of schemes,and get the saving electricity for different time every day,at the same time,when time rate everyday is different in different throughput,for example,100%,75%,100% and 75%;on the basis of frequency converter scheme,the skill technical scheme of frequency conversion scheme is put forward,and illustrates the layout of the whole control system operation scheme in detail,also with the whole process of automatic control and the protection of the abnormal situation;using frequency conversion scheme were compared in new equipment and other costs,considering the direct economic benefis and other indirect benefis of frequency converter scheme,we put up an idea that it is of great advantages to adopt frequency converter scheme,and after that,in terms of the practical use of belt conveyor,the report Finally gives optimal operation mode and operation procedures of the belt conveyor under different operational throughput.
