In response to concerns about energy cost,energy dependence and environmental pollution,a rekindling of interest in electric vehicles has been obvious. Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) seems to be one of the solutions of electric vehicles.SRD(Switched Reluctance Drive)has been used widely because it has many excellent characteristics,high efficiency, simple structure and so on.In this thesis, a SRM control system based on TMS32OLF2407 as DSP motor controller was designed.First, this thesis reviews the development of electricvehicles in the world. Also, the structure of SRD system and its development at home and abroad are introduced. Then the characteristic of SRM and its electro-magnetic principle were described in details. The variation of SRM winding current in different stage and the formulas of toque and power were also analyzed. Next, it analyses SRD controlling mode, composition of speed regulating system and the common designing method of its controller.The controller produces the PWM signal of each phase. Combined with protecting signal and current chopping signal, which can control the IGBT on and off. The control software was programmed. The modular program make the code universal and readable.The variable-parameter digital PID regulator of SRD is designed, include a current PID controller and a speed PID controller,which control current and speed .
