A Research On Design Of Humanized Space Environment Of Campuses Culture Square

The high education of our country has developed rapidly into a new period, the campus has experienced the amazing construction during the short years, in the fast development of the campus construction, and it ignored the quality of the campus environment. A cultural square in campus is one of the most important part of the campus space environment, as a long period time of the constraints of the campus plan and the formalism , and the impact of shorter construction period , has gradually neglected the campus user - student and teacher's behavior and demand, also had many problems in using, for examples the oversized square, the confusion circulation around the square, without finely designing square in detail, making it difficult for students and teachers to stay at or relax, and furthermore inconvenient to intercommunicate freely, it creates the campus culture square inhumanity and the lost of square space.This thesis bases on the fact of the campus circumstances, user's behavior and psychological needs, conduct to studies and analysis the design of campus culture square space environment, it can enhance the cultural atmosphere of the campus square, and the quality of the space environment, as well as promote the campus communication.The paper includes six chapters:First chapter is an introduction, including the background of study, purpose and significance, as well as definition of relevant concepts;Second chapter is to analyze the campus outdoor space form and the theory of the culture square historical development;Third chapter aims to study from the culture square space environment and the relations between human behavior and the psychological demand;Fourth chapter contents the surveys and comparative studies about campus culture squares of four universities in Wuhan, analyses the existed environment of square and the state of use, then describe and analyze the obtained statistics.Fifth chapter is to analyze the campus culture square space environment design methods and principles from the macro to the micro different level ,then concludes the valuable recommended data which can help campus culture square to renewal construct;Sixth chapter consists of studies the real cases of square of the culture on campus and renewal designs.
