The Research For Campus Open Space Based On Behavior Psychology

Along with the rapid development of the society, economy, science and technology, a graveness change occurred in the system of our country education . Therefore an unprecedented construction tidal wave took place in campus recently. Furthermore the demands of new education principle, new talent, the university function, running mode and teaching method ... etc require qualitative change. Because of the popularization of education, the lifelong education and the framework diversification become the aims of the 21st universities;the construction mode of the campus also presents a new characteristic. Simultaneity under the impacts of the extended recruit of universities, the employment pressure and the society competition, an obvious variety is brought forth in the characteristics of university students' behavior and psychology. Therefore, under this great era, it is necessary to review campus space, and create a new space environment to fit the growth of university students.The report is guided by the sociology psychology and environment behavior theory based on the university student's behavior psychology need. At first several space modes which exist in our country university campus are set up by the review of the domestic and oversea universities' development. An evaluation is given to these models. Secondly more analysis about the legibility and the communication of the campus open space will be detailed as following on the research of Sicuan university Huaxi campus and other 8 typical universities campus, which are selected from 20 university campus. As a result the models about students' cognition and the intercouse behavior pattern in campus open space are found. Thirdly it is concluded that the campus opening space identifiably decided together by two aspects factor , one is the spatial own structure characteristic and another is the spatial main body cognition behavior characteristic;Furthermore it is also found that a close linkage among the human space, spatial shape, spatial criterion, space length, spatial facility and so on.At last based on the discussion above, feasible advices about thedesign and rebuilding of open space in China universities are suggested, mainly divided into two aspects. One is the increase of the space continuity and the spatial position feelings, which include main roads' continuity, the link between regional and strengthens partial identical, the prominent opening campus center and so on;another is to create the more stochastic, flexibility and compatible intercourse place, which help to form the multi-level stochastic contact space. At the end of article, the environment landscape design of Architecture and Arts Building in Southwest Jiaotong University is introduced as the sample of the advices.
