Research On The Relationship Between The Urban Spatial Morphology And The Urban Road Traffic

With the constant development of economic globalization and the world urbanization course, the scale of the city is expanding constantly. The urban transport, while developing rapidly, also faces that traffic system supply and demand contradictions of the road are outstanding day by day too. The problem of urban transport congestion, and the question that"stand pancake"type of urban space morphology spread have already become one of the world difficult problems of the current society. What kind of relation exists between urban space morphology and urban road traffic on earth, how do they influence each other and act on the city?Here originally in the thesis, the author puts forward that there is interactive and feedbacking relation between the urban space morphology and the urban road traffic. The thesis arranges the chapter under the interreaction between two. It analyses the concepts of the urban space morphology and the urban road traffic at first, reviews the relevant theory of the studying on their relation. On the basis of explaining motive force mechanism of urban space morphology, it proves the interdynamic relation and the mutual mechanism of the urban space morphology and the urban road traffic emphatically, and proposes the mutual determinism of them, namely that the urban space morphology determines the urban transport source, volume of traffic, traffic way and road network overall arrangement, the urban road traffic system arrangement guides the developing direction of urban space conversely. So the relationship between the urban space morphology and the urban road traffic must be carefully dealt with while the city develops.On this basis of above, combined the development reality of Wuhan, the thesis analyses that the road traffic develops the impact on the urban space morphology of Wuhan under the direction of different traffic ways, and that how the urban space morphology impacts on road network pattern in different periods. The spreading type was expanded outwards in recent years on the urban space of Wuhan, the result caused the land used for unreasonable inflation, as well as environment of the city to continue worsening. The goal of expanding the scale of the urban land, improving the urban environment doesn't be realized. Finally, the thesis puts forward the principle and the thought of global optimizing the urban space morphology and the urban road traffic in Wuhan.
