With the development of our national economy and the people's standard of living, swimming is becoming more and more popular. And superadding the need of the large-scale swimming competition, the country and all levels of governments are throwing invests vigorously to construct natatoriums. Therefore, the air conditioning design of natatorium is becoming more and more important. And the key question of natatorium air-conditioning system design is to be the reasonable air distribution to satisfy difference comfortableness requests for the audience area and pond area, as well as the prevention of internal surface condensation of the natatorium enclosure. Along with the computer emerging,"The computation hydrodynamics"(Computational Fluid Dynamics) is a new blossoming way for air-distribution researching, with the cost to be low, the speed to be quick and the material to be complete.This article first analyzed the reason for choosing the important parameters for air-conditioning load computation process of the natatorium. According to the particularity of natatorium as a big space, four air current organization ways are proposed. And the natatorium model with a special air current organization way, that is back row stair blast front row stair return for the audience area and low blast and low return for the pond, is simulated using Airpak software. Taking The computation hydrodynamics and the heat transfer study as the foundation, based on the foundation of the theoretical analysis and the supposition of the physical model and the mathematical model, the three dimension numerical simulation both in summer and winter natatorium air current organization ways are carrying on usingκ‐εmodel. During the simulation the effect which different parameters of given air put on indoor air distribution is analyzed. The result indicated that, in summer the division of the natatorium air conditioning horizontal district is not obvious, and there is little difference between the pond and the audience area, so the comfort request can be satisfied well. But there is a stuff problem in winter, with the natatorium having the obvious horizontal district division (the audience area and the pond area). On this situation, the single parameter for given air current seems not able to satisfy the comfort request. Then the reason was analyzed, and the best parameters for given air was found.The CFD simulation can display indoor correlation parameters value of any point, such as temperature, relative humidity and so on. According to the comfort request, the the best given air current parameter can be obtained through the adjustment of the parameter (i.e. given speed, relative humidity, gusty area size), which can provide the accurate quota basis for the actual project air-conditioning system design.
