High performance ferrocement laminate (HPFL) is a new kind of material used in the strengthening of R.C. structure. The facture of HPFL includes three processes. First the surface of the strengthened concrete member is made rough, and then steel mesh is spread on the rough concrete surface, last composite mortar is rendered on it.The writer of this thesis also made a series of material experimental investigation into the new material, composite mortar, which is used in HPFL. The experiment result indicates the cut pin can heighten the interface clearly. With enough cut pin the interface won't fail.The writer of this thesis also made an experimental investigation into RC beam strengthened with HPFL, which include 2 specimens strengthened with HPFL under one-off load and 2 contrast specimens. The main intention of the experiment is to investigate the rule and the degree in which the strength of interface affect the working performance and ultimate load carrying capacity of the strengthened beam. The result indicates that HPFL can increase the working performance and ultimate load carrying capacity of RC beam greatly.In order to scale the degree in which strength of interface affect the ultimate load carrying capacity of RC beam strengthened with HPFL, strength joining coefficientζis defined to scale the joining degree of HPFL. Besides finite element softwareANSYS is used to analyze the correlation betweenζand different factors.At the end the HPFL constructing method and an engineering example is putforward.
