The solar energy is a kind of the green, clean and environmental inexhaustible energy, which is better than other conventional source energies. Nowadays, energy-saving and environmental protection are the actuality theme. Deep research on the use of the solar energy is becoming very important. Up to now, disadvantages of the refrigeration cycle driven by solar energy, huge storage bodies, high evaporation temperature, and the need of auxiliary heat source etc., prevent the widespread application of the system. To develop the efficient refrigeration of solar energy, a new solar refrigeration cycle is promoted in this work and theoretical and experimental studies have been carried out.The main contents of this research are to:1. Summarize the evolution of solar absorption refrigeration cycle, and also the development history and the significance of this research.2. Show the advantage and disadvantage of the new solar refrigeration cycle.3. Describe a thermal calculation method, the selection of equipment design, and the selection of specific components.4. Design a new solar cooling system, and built a new absorption refrigeration system for experiment investigation. The evaporation temperature was about 17℃when the supplied heat-driven water temperature was 73℃. Generation temperature and evaporation temperature for different cooling water temperature were investigated and some conclusions were found.5. Summarize the research work and suggestions to improve the system, which can be useful for the coming studies.
