Research On Disc Brake And Its Matching With Vehicle

Automobile brake system is the most important initiative safety system, brake is the enforcer of brake system, whose performance affects the vehicle's safety directly. As the substitution of drum brake, disc brake has advantages of fine thermal stability, delicate feedback, and so on. But it also has some defects, and though the problems of drum bake have been improved, they are not resolved completely, such as thermal fade and brake noise.This paper illustrated disc brake's advantages at beginning, then introduced the structure of HDB and ADB separately. Researched and analyzed the four problems of brake noise, thermal fade, brake twitter and one side wear deeply through the ways of experiments and simulations, and came up with improving methods; Through analyzing the working condition when the vehicle braked, discussed the brake force matching combining with brake laws, and calculated with a vehicle's parameters, educed the result , and did some experiments. Furthermore, analyzed the semi-trailer's brake force matching. At last, researched space matching between disc brake, rim, steering, hub, disc and suspension, put forwards some principles.
