Railway passenger station is the tie for railway transportation system and urban traffic. It is a place for the travelers gather, disperse and transfer, so it is the cross point of quality of railway passenger services. With the enhancement of people's matter and culture life level, their needs for transportation services will present new characteristics in the new period, which requires that the service supplies level of railway passenger station must be improved. Then the services must be evaluated, which will provide decision support for station reconstruction and extension. This paper worked on the following aspects based on the above.Firstly, the structure and function of station were analyzed and substantial literature at home and abroad were referenced. Based on the above, the current development direction of railway passenger station was summarized. Then it analyzed and evaluated the service of railway passenger station from the carrying capacity and service level. At last, the status of railway passenger station was given by this paper. Certain service level must match certain carrying capacity and certain carrying capacity must match certain service level. Referring to the calculating method of highway carrying capacity, service level was graded and the carrying capacity calculating method of different grade was given by this paper.The transportation supply of railway passenger station is decided by hardware facilities, so it is inflexible. The demands for transportation services show different characteristics during different seasons on the value, so it is flexible. Then we can't evaluate the service level according to the instantaneous state of the station. This paper divided one year into different sections, and gave the calculating method for each section based on the existing transport statistics. Due to the evaluation objects are different, evaluation go on from micro and macro. The former used data envelopment analysis and the later used fuzzy comprehensive evaluation. It gave different calculating methods from different perspective. This reflects the state of the station profoundly.On the evaluation methods, the paper did not adopt the traditional methods of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation process. Firstly it calculated weights based on triangular fuzzy numbers and possibility theory. Then professor Shou-Yu Chen's of fuzzy recognition theory was adopt to evaluate the status of the railway passenger station. It provides a new method for railway passenger station evaluation.
