Planning And Design Of Tourism Interpretive Panels System

This paper mainly focuses on the poor understanding of the value, designing method of Tourism Interpretive Panels system in China. We analyze the concept of Tourism Interpretive Panels and other terms and based on that we further disclose the deeper content and meaning of Tourism Interpretation Panels system. The paper is based on various theories ranging from sociology, traveling psychology, aesthetics, ergonomics, material science, semeiology and media and both the theme was investigated in both macro and micro level. This paper is practical for the tour manager, also helpful for the planner.In macro level the 3 factors in Tourism Interpretive Panels system are first explained: subject (source of interpretation), audience (reception) and panel(media) and their relation and structure within are studies as well; we have then established target and principles for such panel system and exact steps including 4 stages of planning designing construction and installment evaluation and maintenance and 13 concrete steps.In micro level, we have an eye on the specific technique and method used in actual designing including designing of the informational content, designing of layout, outlook , size, location, material and installment. In the end of the paper, we take Jiyang Lake Park in Zhangjianggang as a model to explain the actual and exact designing work of Tourism Interpretive Panel system.In the finality, the problems requiring further studies are discussed.
