For ABS/TCS can raise the stability, shorten the braking distance and raise the safety in the manipulating process, it is a typical representative with the active security technology. So ABS/TCS is used widely in the automobile, more and more people are engaged in studying it.Now, the hardware-in-the-loop simulation (HILS) has been an important development tool of automotive control systems not only for resolving the vehicle control system design, testing, performance optimization, and other aspects as a new simulation analysis technology, but also provide fast, economic, and efficient development strong supporting platform for automobile control technology. Hardware-in-the-loop simulation can not only simulate accurately in the various vehicle operating conditions to replace engineering test work, but also in the works which is impossible to test the danger and extreme conditions. In a variety of automotive control systems development process, all the hardware-in-the-loop simulation has been used widely and made good use of effects. Although hardware-in-the-loop simulation study means is impossible to replace the actual testing, it plays a very important role for highly efficient, low-cost vehicle electronic systems research and development.The Layout of structure, the components and working principle of the air ABS/TCS HILS test-bed in this paper is described in detail. Air ABS/TCS HILS test-bed is composed by two PCs, a data acquisition card which construct a low cost and high efficiency xPC target real-time simulation system of the vehicle, pressure sensor is used to measure the brake chamber pressure, Matlab/Simulink is used to develop the control strategies, the solenoid valve drive circuit and data acquisition card connect the hardware and software together, which construct a real-time closed-loop real-time simulation system.This paper mainly completed the following aspects:(1) The early major work of laboratory results is discussed, the main function of a single wheel test-bed is introduced, and the shortage is pointed out. The single wheel test-bed can realize ABS HILS, but it can only complete highμroad, lowμroad, transition road braking, and the influence between wheel axles while vehicle is braking can not be responded, TCS hardware-in-the-loop can not be carried out.(2) Discussed elaborately the development plan of the four wheel air ABS/TCS integrated control system HILS test-bed, test-bed development plan is determined after the comparison with the off-line simulation model and the real vehicle.(3) The design objective and the functions of the test-bed are described: the ABS/TCS control logic can be studied; ABS/TCS pressure system dynamic characteristics can be studied; ABS/TCS key components in the design and development can be completed; actual ABS/TCS product matching can be completed; the function of ABS/TCS components about the actual product can be verified.(4) test-bed structures are discussed, including hardware system, software system, and signal processing systems of the test-bed system. In the building process of hardware system, the hardware components of xPC real-time simulation is introduced, including PC, target computer, the solenoid valve drive power amplifier circuit, as well as data acquisition card and the terminal plate. The traditional air braking system and its restructuring are introduced; the selection and installation about the sensors of test-bed are introduced. Test-bed software system includes vehicle modeling, pressure sensor calibration and filtering. Test-bed signal processing system includes the communication about signal processing system, and the the performance parameters of data acquisition card is introduced.(5) ABS/TCS HILS is studied by off-line simulation curves, though comparing the single wheel HILS curves, the four wheel Test-bed HILS curves and the curves of the actual experiment, the results turn out to be good. The results prove that the air ABS/TCS integrated control system HILS test-bed can simulate the process of vehicles under various conditions. After conducting off-line simulation, hardware-in-loop simulation can be done to adjust the model and the threshold value before the actual experiment, the ABS/TCS development time and cost are significantly reduced, and it turns out to be an indispensable tool to develop air ABS/TCS rapidly.
