With the advancement of technology and the improvement of people's material living standards, the requirement of vehicle security become higher and higher. Anti-lock braking system (ABS) as a proactive safety device that is used widely, which can automatically adjust brake wheel braking force, prevent the wheels locking, and reduce the incidence of traffic accidents effectively.In this paper on the basis of reading lots of literature, the basic principle, type and control logic of the ABS are introduced. Firstly, the mathematical model of vehicle, tire, braking system and driving system are established, and then a dynamical Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) simulation is conducted by using the MATLAB/SIMULINK software. An ABS integrated development system based on PC is designed, which runs the ABS simulation that integrate the vehicle mathematical model, hardware of the control system and the vehicle braking system to form the so called "hardware-in-the-loop" real time simulation test bench.
