Base isolation is one of the most important methods of objective control of structures. It is a new method of seismic resistance of buildings and attracts many countries' attention. The literature review of this thesis is a detailed overview of dynamic analysis and calculation theory of base isolation structure which have been a concern of engineers. Based on the idea—the ideal base isolation system, the reliable dynamic analysis, the rational theory of design and calculation. The construction of model, theoretic modeling of LRB base isolation system, NZ base isolation system, R-FBI base isolation system, EDF base isolation system, and the original structure are studied. Additionally, dynamic simulation is carried out through the SIMULINK toolbox in MATLAB to get the effects of seismic dynamic response of structures with the six kinds of base isolation systems. The main contents of this dissertation are listed as follows:1 The construction of models of LRB base isolation system, NZ base isolation system, R-FBI base isolation system, EDF base isolation system, and the original structure have been put forward. D'alembert's principle has been used to develop the vibration equations of the four kinds of base isolation systems. The effects of the four kinds of base isolation systems' parameters on earthquake responses are discussed.2 The vibration equations are inverted to the form of state space. And the code is programmed in MATLAB; dynamic simulation is carried out through the SIMULINK toolbox. The formation of damping matrix has also been discussed in this dissertation.3 Base on a 3-story concrete building, the control reflect efforts of the four kinds of base isolation systems and original structures were studied. The evaluation criterion for benchmark problem is given and numerical results show that the four kinds of base isolation systems can control the earthquake responses efficiently.The practicability and effectiveness of LRB base isolation system, NZ base isolation system, R-FBI base isolation system, EDF base isolation system are approved through systematical theoretic modeling and numerical computation, which lays out foundation for providing a theoretical basis on practical engineering application.
