Since the beginning of reforming and opening,Chinese development of highways has brought a great loss to our Country.Many highway researchers done a lot of research on this and have achieved many results.After Material-Transfer-Vehicle(MTV) Tests on Guangdong YUZHAN Expressway,and the MTV tests throughout our Country,the author considers the temperature segregation of asphalt mixture can be overcome basically by Material-Transfer-Vehicle(MTV).However,the aggregate segregation of asphalt mixture cannot be improved satisfactorily.According to the fluid nature and the basic characteristics of their own combination of the asphalt mixture,this paper has proved asphalt paving mixture staging in a state of the pressure is a fluid.It has a general nature of the fluid.The granular material movement and the Mechanism of the segregation of asphalt mixture are discussed by the basic principles of fluid.And the three speed of the hot-mix asphalt pavement is considered to improve the aggregate segregation.Through the analysis on the sustaining force of the mixture in the auger screws and the movement of granular material,the closely relation between the movement of granular material and the parameter of the auger screws is discovered.When the screw axis fixed relative speed,with the movement of particles in the mixture of fabrics tank great location: When the mixture particle is in the laminar region, its mixture flow properties will remain basically unchanged, a small degree of segregation, and keep mixture smooth movement along the screw axis;when the mixture particle is in the turbulent region , in the event of a mixture of different degrees irregular movement, a high degree of segregation, the mixture flow turbulence for specific performance.Therefore,in accordance with the above analysis of this situation,paver input to the uniformity of the use of two different divices.When the uniformity of inputs is good,the paver uses the belt screw distributing device;when the uniformity of inputs is poor,the paver uses the spiral agitator and the belt screw distributing device.This paper analyses the shear stress of the asphalt mixture using Limit Equilibrium Theory,and ascertain the range of the parameters what insure the asphalt mixture flow laminar flow the though models.The paper forms a set of the effective ways to improve segregation of asphalt mixtures.
