A Reforming Scheme using DCS for the control system about a thermal power generator unit is studied in this paper. With the development of computer technique, widely application about modern control theory, and the distributed control technique, this kind of control system is much more robust than conventional system when applied to the coupling, uncertain, nonlinear control system because more and more matters need to be monitored, the task of process control becomes more heavy, and the demands of operation are considered more strict.Based on analysis about control system, the distributed control system of boiler side of HACIS-5000 thermal power unit is researched at present. It mostly contains Data Acquisition System(DAS),Modulating Control System(MCS), Sequence Control System(SCS), etc. The function of the chief contents about the DCS was introduced in this paper, consisting of its network traits, principles of software design, hardware collocation and system function features. Especially, the system of EDPF-NT was applied on system redevelopment on 110MW thermal power limited corporation.
