After having analyzed the ZrO2 oxygen analyzer technology development status and trend, using new MCU and computer hardware & software technology and fieldbus technology to develop intelligent ZrO2 oxygen analyzer based on CAN bus is presented. In order to enhance system's opening, reliability and communication function, CAN bus technology is applied to ZrO2 oxygen analyzer for the first time. The system decreases the number of the expansion of peripheral circuit and interface circuit by employing the modularized design method and by using new microprocessor C8051F040 as the system CPU. The stability and reliability is improved and the function-extension and upgrade is convenience. Compared to the general instrument, the intelligent instrument has many better characteristics. It has a lot of advantage such as automatic measurement, real-time on-line measuring, and also has the capabilities of self-calibration, digital filter, intelligence processing through data processing. The instrument has more advantages than traditional instrument, such as the capabilities of man-machine interaction, digital filter, mass storage.
