Application Of Embedded Ethernet In Power Quality Monitoring System

Wide using of nonlinear load results in lower quality of electricity supply grid and running deterioration.At the same time, electrical equipment which sensitive to power quality ever-growing popular, people demand on power quality and reliability more and more highly. Therefore, it is import to research and develop a new power quality monitoring system with multi-function of measurement, analysis, control and communication for running the electric power system safely and reliably. The communication is one of the core technologies of the monitoring system, and its performance directly affects the performance of the entire system. This paper researches the application of the embedded Ethernet in power quality monitoring system, major work is designing embedded system software of power quality monitor(PQM) and developing communication software on PC.Firstly, comparing the characteristics of various communication networks, choosing Ethernet as power quality monitoring system's communication network. Introducing embedded Ethernet technology, and analyzing the feasibility of its application in power quality monitoring system. The application model of embedded Ethernet in power monitoring system is given.Secondly, analysis the fuctions of embedded system software, and design software system. This paper introduce fearture,principle and condition for transplanting. TransplantingμC/OS-II embedded operation system on LPC2292, baen on system function. Developing Ethernet driver and designing embedded TCP/IP protocol onμC/OS-II.Finally, the work is about the designing of Ethernet communication and communication software used to communicate with the PQM. The thesis researches unicast communication software and multicast communication software which uses the Windows Socket programming technique. After debugging the embedded system software of PQM and the Ethernet communicated software , they are both working well.
