At present, the power supply for urban rail vehicle is widly used DC voltage. DC Voltage is rectified by diode rectifier that energy flow only one way. The feature of rail vehicle is that it often need speed up or electrical brake. Currently, the method of handling the brake energy is utilizing resistor to consume the energy, which is uneconomical and would bring the new problem such as heat. To solve this problem mentioned above, the high power PWM rectifier with two-way flow of energy is proposed as interface of AC grid and DC power supply.First analyzed in this paper is the model of PWM rectifier, on the basis of which a parallel equivalent model of PWM rectifier is derived, and the topology of the parallel equivalent model of PWM rectifier with isolated power supply is applied to restrain the zero-phase order loop current.In this paper, the current-sharing control of PWM rectifier is deeply analyzed and the Master-Slave Control Method based on State Communication, so as to offer certain redundancy while assuring the output accuracy of PWM rectifier. Then, the hardware and software design are given.At last, a simulation model with Matlab/Simulink, of PWM rectifier is built and the high-power rectifying and converting simulations of PWM are conducted with perfect stability. It is proved in this paper that the power supply system consisting of PWM rectifier has the advantages if low harmonics, high power factor and low power consumption.
