With the development of power electronic technology and emergency of much non-linear load in power system, the power quality has been more and more deterioration. With the rapid development of Distribution Automation, customers' requirements on the quality and reliability of electrical power supply grow higher and higher. Unified Power Quality Conditioner used in three-phase four-line system can effectively compensate multiple different power quality interferences originated either from the load side or from the line side, improve the reliability and quality of power supply.This dissertation is a part of the project of Flexible Alterative Current Distribution System which is belongs to School Fifteenth Special Science and Technology Fund. This dissertation is focus on the study of shunt converter of Unified Power Quality Controller for three-phase four-line distribution power system which capacity is 10kVA.This dissertation presents topological structure and control strategies of Unified Power Quality Controller, derivates the mathematical model of active power filter, focus on the study of harmonic and reactive power detecting methods of active power filter and PWM control methods. By comparison with the advantage and disadvantage of different PWM control methods, the dissertation finally chooses the most suitable control method. This dissertation presents an approach of detecting harmonic and reactive power of Three-phase Four-line System based on generalized instantaneous reactive Power in dq0 coordinates, developed whole system using Matlab/Simulink. Computer simulation results demonstrated that the proposed method of harmonic and reactive current detecting is correct and valid.This dissertation also designs the parameters of shunt APF main circuit and combination with simulation to optimize the parameters. A full digital control system based on DSP is built with TMS320F2812 and the hardware circuit of shunt converter control system have been designed and tested. The control program is written by C language. Finally this dissertation does the experiments of shunt APF, shows the experiment wave and analyses the experiment result.
